How might we enable visually impaired people to independently navigate around airports? Until now, blind people are heavily dependent on special service providers to find their gate. Vasthallways are hard to explore, impaired people unable to read signs. There are no tactile models or pavings on the floor.
After conducting a market and user research, we developed an accessible app prototype based on a fundamental UX Strategy, supported by our lecturer from the Airbus' Design Thinking department. Using our Wizard of Oz App prototype, a blind folded person was able to find their way to the destination, as we documented with our test video.
